INTRODUCTION
There is a battle in progress...as it relates to your mind. (Daniel 7:25) Satan's desire is to distract and confuse you, so that you are unable to think clearly about God and His purposes. That is why the helmet is so important.
[Helmet = encirclement of the head…Salvation = defender, defense, salvation]
The Scripture admonishes us to be sober minded. I Thessalonians 5:8…,

I. PICTURING THE HELMET OF SALVATION
A. It is Personified in Jesus Christ.

B. It is a Prerequisite to Ministry.

C. It is the Power of God in Your Life.
1. Demonstration of the Spirit. I Corinthians 2:2-7
D. It is Produced by Reading the Word of God.

E. It is Possible Through Prayer.

II. PRACTICING THE HELMET OF SALVATION
A. Defending Ourselves in a Hostile World.

2. Dark Understanding. Ephesians 4:17-18
a. Train Yourself To Look. (Blindness of the Heart)
b. Take Time To Learn. (Through Ignorance)
c. Tune In The Life. (Alienated From the Life of God)
d. Turn On The Lights. (A Darkened Understanding)
B. Demolishing the Enemy's Stronghold in our Minds.

CONCLUSION
The Roman armies considered the helmet an imperative piece of armor and had severe penalties for anyone caught without one. We need to understand that we too face consequences for not putting on the helmet of salvation.
