“Perversion or Praise?”



INTRODUCTION


                  Every day that we live we must choose how we will use our tongue.  The design     of God is that we live to give Him praise.



I.         THE PERVERTING TONGUE

 A.  The Perverted Tongue.

                                    1.  A Perverse Tongue. Proverbs 17:20 

                                                      1)  Deceitful. [twisted, distorted, crooked]

                                                      2)  Heart. [the center or core of a person]

                                                      3)  No Good.

                                                                        a)  No. [nothing]

                                                      b)  Good. [good things, better, best, pleasant things, favor, 

      prosperity]

                                    2.  A Perverted Tongue. 

                                                      1)  Perverse.  [to overturn, change, turn back…perverted (corrupt, 

      warped, depraved, abnormal {normal is God’s Word})]

                                                      2)  Falling. [to lie down, be judged, rot]

                                                      3)  Evil.[affliction, adversity, bad, calamity, vexation, wickedness]

                                                      a.  Praise. [to shine, boast, make a show, to rave, make a fool, 

      celebrate, to sing a song of praise]

                                                      b.  Joyful.  [a shout of joy, joyful voice, triumphing]

                                                      c.  Lips. [language, speech, talk, words]
